This Celadon and Lacquer Sake Cup has a wide lip that extends outwards - like the shape of a bowl. The lacquer inlay seems to travel around the piece, following a kind of pattern. The cracks move around and follow the interior of the form. The textured foot of the sake cup exhibits a sense of wabi-sabi and the piling of the porcelain creates an element of nature and unpredictability in the piece itself.
