Electric streaks of red and green, the rounded form of this iteration of Kodai Ujiie’s Celadon and Lacquer Sake Cup is contained and elaborate. The beautiful lines of lacquer inlay move from thick, condensed color, to thin, faint and painterly lines. The interior of this piece is phenomenal. The colors seem to pool in a pattern at the base of the form, swirling and spotting, is the intricate lacquer inlay of Kodai Ujiie.
