Shiro Tsujimura’s Shino Tea bowl is a piece that is more cylindrical than it is round. The foot of the piece is low and instead, casts a nice shadow on the base of the bowl itself. The stoneware clay body has an oatmeal texture and slightly orange color. The glaze, a classic white shino with some impurities added by the artist, shows the spots and iron brush strokes through its firing.
