The rhythmic tapping of Suzuki’s tools filled his workshop as he slowly crafted sheets of metal into this lifelike sculpture of fallen leaves. Cherry and oak leaves, brittle in late autumn and with bite marks where the leaves had been eaten by bugs, encapsulate a broader landscape of trees and wildlife. Three acorns, half hidden under a mature oak leaf, emphasize the cycle of death and new life.Metal
