Kai Tsujimura’s Shino Tea Bowl is a form familiarly seen in works by his father, Shiro Tsujimura. The decisive, thrown cylindrical form the tea bowl has features of a shallow foot and a curved lip, allowing tea to be sipped smoothly with comfort. The shino glaze splashed over the piece creates vibrant, beautifully orange, brick-red, flashing. The flow of the colors, soft and subtle, is eye catching and elegant.
