Tsukada's textured glass vessels brim with potential for diversity of expression. Her use of experimentation creates highly unusual mystery and unpredictability surfaces. During the firing process, the slow heat of the kiln curves the shape of the glass, and Tsukada gathers this shape in the final result of the object, accounting for the natural rhythms and whims of the shifting form. In spontaneity, each object tells its own story. This eggplant purple with flecks of matte greys and ridged lines running vertically all around the entire piece creates a stunningly atmospheric composition. The double sheets create an elegant and transformative ridge that enhances the feminine qualities of this grand vessel.Glass
