This tea bowl by Yasushi Fujihira feels bright and soft. The glaze, a two toned blue and pink matte glaze, creates a soft composition along the outer surface of the form. The celadon glaze on the inside of the form, a lighter robin’s egg blue, contrasts yet harmoniously collaborates with the darker blue and baby pink glaze. The base glaze, a matte white glaze, allows these colors to stand out and the foot of the form, small, smooth, and hand built is a signature of Yasushi Fujihira.
