Otsuka was encouraged to study ancient traditions through ceramic tiles. Otsuka's terracotta wares bridge the worlds of Greco-Roman and Japanese art. This marbled green and brown tea bowl creates a passage between the two worlds. Nature's energy is expressed through his work's colors, texture, and body.
