One of Shiro Tsujimura’s most iconic and sought-after forms. The Kohiki altered sphere vase is a piece thrown off the hump using a darker colored stoneware clay body. The piece was then covered with a thick layer of white slip and glaze. Through the fast-paced pour and slip action of glazing, the piece holds evidence of its making. The fingerprints of the artist show through the surface, revealing the natural dark clay body underneath.
