A handbuilt tea bowl, Yukiya Izumita's Flake Tea Bowl, explores new surface treatments for the artist. Usually known for his Sekisoh pieces, Izumita's Flake Tea Bowl is refreshing and contemporary. The tea bowl has an expression with directional faceting and a splatter of red iron glaze. Matte black on the inside creates a fantastic harmony of colors textures and plays with light.
