Kaori Teraoka (b. 1995) is a nihonga trained painter whose artworks are performance pieces that reflect her ideas about the passage of time. With her washi-based canvas and paint, each stroke represents a second of time. Teraoka's technique articulates a certain rhythm of human life. To regain a connection with her consciousness and reality, she challenges herself through her performance. In doing so, viewers can also be part of the conversation.
