Highlighting the power of gold leaf in the urahaku back-mounting technique, a single sparrow cuts through the darkness of night. Using gold leaf as the back layer, Someya envisions the last remnants of sunlight shining between the bamboo leaves, illuminating a path through which the sparrow faces uncertainty with confidence.
