Shin Fujihira’s Cinnabar Incense Container has a very unique form. The shape of the lidded piece feels rather familiar and the color, like his other cinnabar pieces, feel like it is lightly traveling over the surface of the piece. The overall form of the piece creates the anticipation for discovery. The viewer wants to remove the lid and reveal its contents.
