Between the walls of glass is a sheet of metal fibers inserted amidst the blowing of the molten form, spreading out like a constellation. The foray into metal inclusions is a shift away from de Santillana's previous colorful designs for the family glass business—Venini—and hand-slumped forms, calling new attention to the relationship between inside/outside and metal/glass—two mediums in seemingly diametric mediums.
