Kan Yasuda’s MYOMU is one of the artist's most recognizable forms, with monumental versions installed permanently at JR Sapporo Station, Tokyo Midtown Plaza, and Pietrasanta Station. This small marble version is made from smooth white carrera marble, its center hollowed to create a circular frame through which the surrounding landscape is viewed. This aperture serves as a metaphorical portal, separating the visible world from the imperceptible realm of dreams.
