Nakano’s Sign of Spring Time is overflowing with blooming white magnolias. Birds perch among the branches, emerging subtly to the viewer: a blue bird diving downwards, a songbird, beak lifted in mid-call, and a trio of green-and-yellow birds gathered as if in quiet conversation.
