In Four Seasons - The Fragrance of Summer, Nakano paints a grand celebration of the season. Birds and insects dance amongst ripe fruit and hanging flowers, illuminated by a crescent moon. Each individual color is created from a crushed precious mineral, mixed with nikawa, deer-collagen glue, painted onto a background of silver leaf on washi paper.
