Fukumoto uses his signature rōzome wax dyeing technique to create a lattice pattern overlaid onto warm tones of brown, white, yellow, and orange dye. Fukumoto’s dyeing practices emphasize both the precision and fluidity of the medium, as exemplified by the contrast between the looseness of the horizontal bands and the precise geometry of the lattice design.
