Ippodo Gallery is pleased to announce "Digital Iridescence" — A Live Talk with Terumasa Ikeda at TEFAF Maastricht at Booth 476 on Saturday, March 14 at 2:30PM.
Terumasa Ikeda (b. 1987) has gained international acclaim for his cyber-like lacquer aesthetic. Utilizing the thousand-year-old raden technique—where thin layers of pearl are inlaid into lacquer—Ikeda creates motifs that mimic computer data, glowing circuits, and shimmering light. His work challenges the viewer to reconsider the "machine-made" versus the "spirit-made."
The presentation will unveil a first look at his newest series commissioned specifically for TEFAF 2026.
