View on a wall
Nakano’s peacock fills the entire composition with delicate brush strokes representing feathers. The bright blue of the body of the peacock brings the viewer’s attention to the center of the painting, gradually moving outwards, the viewer’s eye examines and takes in the detailed splendor. In person, this piece reveals, in the light, a slight addition of gold and silver paint elevating the ethereal atmosphere this painting displays.
