Hand molded and sharply sculpted, Isezaki’s tea bowls are made with his own blend of clay, which allows the artist to experiment with a variety of textures. Glazed and unglazed sections affect how light reflects and moves across the body of the tea bowl. A protruding ledge is reminiscent of a rock formation. The tea bowl represents a dynamic assortment of textures and colors crafted from a deceivingly simple material.
