Like peering into a pool of water, Shin Fujihira’s Cinnabar Tea Bowl replicates the sensation of discovery. Like a gemstone or a soft slice of nature, the cinnabar glazes of Shin Fujihira grow softly and brightly in our souls. The form of the bowl, with a handbuilt quality of an uneven lip and touched clay surface introduces familiarity to our world.
