Inspired by the designs of digital maps and video game dungeons, Terumasa Ikeda’s raden container—varnished with black Japanese lacquer and decorated with the pearl of abalone, oyster, and turbo snail—absorbs all light, beckoning viewers to fall into its iridescent depths.
