The University of Oxford 's Ashmolean Museum has acquired Decimal by Terumasa Ikeda. Decimal was part of Terumasa Ikeda's first overseas exhibition, Iridescent Lacquer at Ippodo Gallery New York in 2023.
Embellished with innumerable digits, laser-cut from precious abalone shell, Terumasa Ikeda pushes the limits of shape and raden inlay. Impossibly small, the round container is completely enveloped by the random, iridescent numbers.
