The red ring of color is the marking resulting from wood-burning kiln firing. This glaze is produced through natural burning materials inserted in the kiln during the firing process. The element of chance is inherent within the creation of Bizen ware ceramics. Isezaki also enjoys playing with the shape and brings a modern twist to his works.
